Wandering Queer Collective: Albany Helderberg - Hudson Rail Trail

  • 8 Grove St. (Trailhead Parking Lot) Voorheesville (map)

Welcome to the RSVP form for Collar City Pride's Wandering Queer Collective.

This RSVP form is for our event taking place Saturday, November 21st at 11am at the Albany County Helderberg - Hudson Rail trail, meeting at the Voorheesville parking lot at 8 Grove St., Voorheesville. This event will go on rain, snow, or shine! (Dress in layers and please check the weather before heading out for the day.) This trail parking lot is on a bus line as well.

Please come back for updates on the length of trail and end/turnaround points.

The rail trail is a fully paved, fully accessible walking path with mild terrain and a very slight grade at certain points. This trail would be accessible to those utilizing mobility devices such as a wheelchair, walker, walking stick, and/or cane. The full rail trail is 9.8 miles, running from Grove St. in Voorheesville to Pearl St. in Albany. Our group will NOT be walking the full trail - although you are welcome to if so inclined! Doggo's are welcome - but please make sure to note if you are bringing a pet below, and remember they must stay leashed, be up to date on all vaccines, and be friendly and social with other dogs.

You will be guided by Environmental Educator Natalie Santini (she/her.) Natalie has been an environmental educator for NY State Parks for the last 4 years. She has plenty of experience hiking (over 130 miles this year!) Her favorite outdoor activities are birding, kayaking, hiking, and looking for cool bugs and plants. Her goal is to bring the community together for a peaceful respite in an otherwise overstimulating life.

Please fill out the form below so we can make sure to have a proper count for the walk! Bring a friend, registration not required but encouraged.
